C.A.B. Foundation Announces Inaugural Invitational Car Show presented by Tallman’s Tire and Auto Repair

Utica, NY – The C.A.B. Foundation invites the public to the first ever Vehicles for Vision Invitational Car Show presented by Tallman’s Tire and Auto Repair. The event will take place Sunday, June 12 at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford.

The show offers 25 cars in three vehicle categories: pre-war, post-war, and modified. The car show will be held from 3-5pm and is free to attend. A fundraising dinner event, with live auction, begins at 5:30pm. Tickets are $50 per person to attend. Proceeds from this event support programs and services for people who are blind or visually impairedthrough the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI).

The vehicles in the show will be the best of the best,” explained Barton Rasmus, event chair and memberof both the C.A.B. Foundation and CABVI boards of directors. “The automobiles showcased are all award winning pieces. We are honored that their owners are willing to share this experience with us.”

Vehicles to be shown include, but are not limited to, a 1910 Pope-Hartford Model T, a 1908 International Harvester Original Autobuggy, a 1965 Pontiac GTO, and a 1972 American Motors Javelin AMX 2 door.

“Since 1986, Vehicles for Vision has raised nearly $3 million, primarily from donated autos, trucks, boats and real estate, to support the vision rehabilitation programs of CABVI,” said Hon. Michael Misiaszek, Chair of the C.A.B. Foundation Board of Directors, the governing of Vehicles for Vision and its sister program, Valuablesfor Vision.We hope to gain more exposure for the good work of CABVI while, at the same time, promoting Vehicles and Valuables for Vision.
